First announcement
We are happy to announce that the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium will host the “MeteoClim” symposium on METEOrology and CLIMatology for PhD-students and their supervisors in Belgium, which will take place on Friday the 5th of November 2010.
This symposium aims to built and maintain a network for PhD students doing research in meteorology and climatology in Belgium. In the recent atmosphere of international projects and research abroad, one is about to forget about the research done in the neighbouring universities. Therefore, this initiative was taken. Our goal is to give PhD-students and young researchers the opportunity to present their research in an informal setting, to discuss their methods and to get insight in the work that is currently done in other research groups.
The first edition of the symposium was held at the K.U.Leuven in October 2007. The second edition took place in January 2009 at the UCL (Université catholique de Louvain) in Louvain-la-Neuve.
Registration is free but mandatory for participation. Further information will follow.
The Meteoclim 2010 team,
Andy Delcloo
